This week in soccer

First of all...Congratulations to the UVIC Vikes Mens soccer team for winning the CIS national championships this weekend on home soil!  Some very good soccer action against some top level university teams!  UVIC are now the champs!!!

Also, Victoria Highlanders FC season tickets are now on sale for their upcoming season.  $84 gets you a season ticket to watch all mens and womens games and kids under 12 get in for free!  This should be the level that our local soccer players strive to be at one day!  It's a great level of soccer to watch and the family friendly crowds make it very exciting to be a part of!  Further to that, with each season ticket sold this year (1st 1500) you become an OWNER of the team.  The current ownership is creating a community owned soccer club.  Let me know if you'd like more info or simply click HERE for details.  This could be an easy way to do some Christmas shopping:)

Now the Tidalwaves news:)
The fields are currently closed.  If it stops raining we should be ok for a Tuesday practice.  If it keeps raining the fields will stay closed.  We are working on some gym time for Tuesday nights so as soon as we get that info, Kim will send out an email and we'll also post it up here.

At this point, we're going to go to one practice per week until the new year and the weather gets better.  This age group usually only practices once per week anyway but we wanted to get some extra time in to kick off the season and get some extra work in which has gone very well for us.  So starting this week, we'll be practicing Tuesday's only.
